Welcome to the official website of Bunker Hill Elementary, home of the Bulldogs!
We are thrilled to start off the new year in our brand-new, state-of-the-art school!
Here at Bunker Hill, students have the chance to work with the latest technology in their classrooms. We have sound amplification systems, LCD projectors, SMART Boards, document cameras, DVD players, and Internet capability in each of our 35 classrooms. Technology labs with 20 computer workstations are located in each grade level’s section of our building, and there is a additional technology lab with 35 workstations next to the library/media center. Students take technology education as a related arts class, along with music, P.E., and art.
Bunker Hill also offers foreign languages to our 4th and 5th graders. Students are exposed to Japanese, Chinese, French, and Spanish throughout the year. Our students also participate in Talent Development activities once a week for enrichment – everything from exercise classes to arts & crafts!
But the technology and course offerings at Bunker Hill are just part of the story. Our strength is in the diversity of our students, parents, and staff. Our students have come here from their ‘old’ schools in the district to help us create a new Bunker Hill family. Our parents and PTO are top-notch, always helping out at the school or working at home with their students. Our teachers are well-trained in their profession, and they always put students first. We all work hard, always try our best, and have fun, too!
